Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Clark Unit is a 33 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit situated on the first floor. The multidisciplinary team aim to assist people to achieve their optimum level of independent functioning following injury, surgery or illness.
Our Objectives are:- To provide a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation service individualised to the requirements of the client
- To promote the independence of the client, reducing and/or minimising disability and handicap, enabling them to maintain optimum choice and control over their lives
- To achieve positive client outcomes recognising individual differences in terms of physical, functional, social, psychological and cultural needs
- To recognise and support families and carers of clients through their involvement in the rehabilitation program and through the provision of education and counselling
- To provide a multidisciplinary assessment service for each client and formulate individual program plans in conjunction with the client and his/her carers with realistic short and long term goals
- To ensure effective liaison with community agencies is developed and maintained for the client and his/her carers
- To ensure the highest quality of care through quality management practices and staff development practices
- To develop and maintain client records which enable effective communication, adequately reflect the provision of care and objectify the attainment of goals
